PT Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) is a company operating in the toll road sector in Indonesia. As a subsidiary of PT Jasa Marga (Persero), JMTO is responsible for the management and operation of toll roads which are part of the toll road network in Indonesia. Currently, JMTO operates 36 toll roads, 316 toll gates, 1,839 toll booths, and 2,234 KM of toll roads. JMTO is included in BUMN operating on toll roads. JMTO's business activities include operating services, automatic electronic toll payment systems, and IT services.
Problem: Lack of Activity Monitoring System on Toll Roads
For toll road operator companies such as PT Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO), one of the issues that becomes the focus is effective coordination between fleets when accidents occur on toll roads. Accidents can cause significant traffic disruption, potentially creating congestion and reducing toll road operational efficiency. Therefore, it is important for JMTO to have a good coordination system in dealing with accidents so that a quick and appropriate response can be given.
One of the problems that often arises is the weak coordination between toll road officials, the police, and emergency service providers such as ambulances and cranes. Lack of effective communication between drivers involved in accidents and officers on the ground can hinder the process of evacuation and necessary medical assistance.
Solution : Adoption of Fleet Management System and Real-Time Tracking
From the problems expressed by JMTO, a solution is urgently needed that can strengthen coordination between units along the toll road section. This can be done by adopting Fleet Management System technology which enables real-time exchange of data between field officers and the control center. Fleet management system is a platform that enables JMTO to effectively track and manage the fleet of vehicles operating on toll roads.
By using the fleet management system, JMTO gains better visibility on the location and status of vehicles on toll roads. This system allows JMTO to monitor vehicle position in real-time and provide accurate information to officers in the field. This facilitates coordination between all relevant parties and allows for a rapid response in dealing with accidents.
